Audimute’s new approach to design has inspired us to reconstruct our own office to incorporate modern acoustic treatments. We began this project by stripping the walls of their preexisting paint and removing our dated ceiling tiles. The newly exposed ceiling was not only displeasing to the eye but it also posed a variety of sound problems in our space. So our design team began experimenting with the idea of suspending an acoustic solution from the ceilings to absorb the excess echo within our room.
Our designers came up with the concept to hang acoustic clouds from our exposed ceiling. Acoustic clouds are typically sound panels that are hung horizontally on ceilings to reduce sound and noise reflections. Our acoustic clouds will be geometrically faceted which will increase their surface area allowing them to absorb more sound than the standard horizontal clouds on the market. As this project moves forward we will begin incorporating other innovative product development ideas and product testing into our space that will challenge the notion of traditional acoustic solutions.
Below, we have provided a brief preview of the design intent for the space. Included are samples of the carpet and paint colors along with images of the space. These images include sketches of the floor plan as well as our early design ideas for our acoustic cloud. As Audimute continues on its path of growth and transformation, you can expect more exciting news and ideas about acoustics at Audimute.
