We collect and analyze various data to help us better serve our customers, from creating new educational resources to answering common questions to providing easy to use tools and content relevant tailored to the needs and interests of shoppers. We promise to safeguard any information we collect and use it sensibly, with care. By visiting Audimute.com, you are accepting the practices described within our privacy policy listed below.

Here are the types of information we gather.

Information You Give Us: We receive and store any information entered on or given to us on the website. The shopper can choose not to provide certain information. We use the information that is provided to respond to sound advice request, improve and customize the future of shopping for our customers, and communicate with shoppers. Audimute.com will never sell or give away our customers’ and shoppers’ information to other businesses or companies.

Automatic Information: We receive and store certain types of information whenever users interact with our website. For example, like many websites, we use "cookies," and we obtain certain types of information only when the shopper’s web browser accesses Audimute.com or advertisements and other content served by or on behalf of Audimute.com. Cookies are unique identifiers that we transfer to the user’s device to enable our systems to recognize the device and to provide features such as storage of items in the shopping cart between visits, online chat history, and repeat visits to Audimute.com.

Shoppers can manage the use of cookies at the individual browser level. If the user reject cookies, they may still use our website; however, some features or areas of the website may be limited.

Email Communications: To send the most relevant content to users via email, we often receive data related to emails users are most likely to open, if the shopper’s computer supports such capabilities. We also compare our customer list to certain interactions conducted on Audimute.com, to avoid sending unnecessary messages to our customers. If you do not want to receive email or other mail from us, please call us at 1.866.505.MUTE (Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm ET), email us at customerexperience@audimute.com or chat with us through our website (Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm ET) to let us know.

You may also opt out of our mailing lists at any time if you wish to no longer receive most emails we might send in the future. We do send an automated series of transactional emails which cannot be opted out of, such as: order confirmations, shipping/tracking updates, and between one to three post-purchase follow up emails used to ensure satisfaction with our products, services, and those of any 3rd party providers (such as FedEx) we may contract with. The purpose of these emails is to help us learn to better serve you and other customers in the future.

Information from Other Sources: We might receive information about our shoppers from other sources and add it to their account information to provide a better user experience.

We understand the responsibility of protecting the personal information that is provided to us. We share customer information only with our other business units within our organization as described below, each of which follows the same practices as those described in this privacy policy.

Privacy Protection of Audimute.com and Others: We release account and other personal information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law; enforce or apply our Conditions of Use and other agreements; or protect the rights, property, or safety of Audimute.com, our users, or others. This does not include selling, sharing, or disclosing personally identifiable information from customers for commercial purposes in violation of the commitments set forth in this Privacy Notice.

With Your Consent: Other than as set out above, you will receive notice when information about you might go to third partie, and you will have an opportunity to choose not to share the information.

By Phone, Chat, Email or Other at Request: If you, someone acting on your behalf, or anyone else requests information about you (under conditions not covered within this Privacy Policy) or your business relationship with us, we will not disclose specific or personally identifiable information without making a fair effort to determine your identity and/or consent.

How Secure Is Information About Customers? The security of user information is protected during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information the user inputs. We do transmit the entire credit card number to the appropriate credit card company during order processing. It is the responsibility of the shopper to protect themselves against unauthorized access. Audimute.com does not accept credit card information by fax, chat, or email.
