Acoustic First Congregational Church of Naples Standard & Custom Size Fabric Panels

"The reduction was remarkable. We couldn’t be happier and are considering panels for other parts of our church."

- Gary Baird, Project Manager

The Problem

The First Congregational Church of Naples is a moderately new church founded in 2004 in Naples, FL. A recent social hall addition contained mostly hard surfaces, including sheetrock walls and ceiling, tile floors, and solid tables. As a result, “ The noise level even with a small party was extremely unacceptable," said Gary Baird, who contacted Audimute while searching for a solution.

The Solution

Mr. Baird remarked, “I contacted a rep by phone and found her extremely helpful to work with. She always returned my phone call or email in a timely manner and found answers to all of our concerns." Mr. Baird sent us dimensional drawings of all four walls within the church’s social hall. Audimute’s design staff created a panel layout that met the social hall’s noise reduction requirements, while also remaining aesthetically pleasing. The church decided on a designer fabric pattern that complimented the existing color scheme of the social hall. Mr. Baird notes, “We purchased a deluxe sample package and found it to very helpful in making our decision.” The acoustic treatment was composed of combination of 2’x4’ Gallery Wrapped Acoustic Panels accented with Audimute’s Custom Size Gallery Wrapped Acoustic Panels, helping to create the perfect social hall church sound.

The Outcome

The First Congregational Church of Naples noticed an immediate and obvious change in the sound quality of their social hall. Mr. Baird explains, “We took noise readings just prior to installing panels with a very loud consistent noise source, and then immediately repeated the same readings after panel installation. The reduction was remarkable. We couldn’t be happier and are considering panels for other parts of our church.”
