How Acoustics Work
When approaching the science of sound and trying to learn how acoustics work in order to properly treat your space, it's important to understand two things: 1) sound is complex and 2) every situation is unique. If you're thinking "I hate the sound in my room" but have no idea how acoustics work or which acoustic materials to purchase, you've come to a good place to start your learning adventure. We do like to point out one thing that most people don't realize: whatever your acoustic problem is, the thing that matters in the end is your satisfaction with the results. Knowing what you want to achieve in your acoustic environment is worth far more than knowing everything about sound.
Give us a call or chat with us, and we'll help you understand the basics. If you prefer to learn on your own, we've produced many videos about sound and acoustic materials that are available on our Audimute YouTube channel. We've also maintain other useful references such as our acoustics glossary. Depending on level of understanding of acoustics and acoustic panels, the panels listed under our Education and Support header on our site navigation will give you a good place to start.
