Looking for some peace and quiet in your home, studio, or rental property? isolé® Sound Barrier Sheet is the easy-to-install solution!
Designed to re-enforce doors, windows, vents, and other weaknesses in a structure, isolé combines a 0.75 NRC eco-C-tex® sound absorption panel with a dense layer of 20 STC 1/16" Mass Loaded Vinyl to absorb an average of 75% of echoes, reverberations, and mid to high frequencies (e.g., people singing, loud music playing) within a space, while also helping to block out incoming low frequencies (e.g., people talking, dogs barking).
isolé isn't just effective; it's also portable. Each isolé is fitted with three metal grommets for simple installation and removal, allowing you to bring it with you to new homes, studios, offices, or other spaces in need of sound absorption and sound blocking.
Couple isolé with an Audimute Acoustic Door Seal Kit to further prevent sound from entering or exiting a space via the gaps around a door. Remember: if air can get through, so can sound!
With the power pairing of isolé and the Acoustic Door Seal Kit, you can block noise from an HVAC system, reduce sound transmission between spaces at short-term housing rental properties, achieve professional-sounding acoustics for your podcast/recording session, or finally get some sleep while your roommate or spouse engages in late-night gaming in the other room.

Some Sound Advice
isolé is one of our most popular products, but it’s also one of our most misunderstood! We sometimes get questions from customers about the size of the sheet, how to properly install it, and how it's intended to work. Let's cut through the noise:
isolé is designed to fit over standard (32" wide by 80" long) residential wooden interior doors. It is 34.5" wide and 82" long. Please be sure to check the measurements of the door/window/etc. you plan to cover before purchasing. Custom-sized isolé options are also available.
isolé should be placed between the source of the sound you're trying to manage and the space where you don't want the sound to be heard, with the side of the sheet with the Audimute tag facing the source of the sound. So, for instance, if you want to keep sound from leaving your room, put isolé over the interior of the door. If you want to keep sound from entering your room, then isolé should be placed over the exterior of the door. See our installation instructions for more.
If properly installed over your door, isolé WILL rest over the knob/handle. We do NOT recommend cutting a hole in the sheet for the doorknob to fit through, as it will compromise the integrity and effectiveness of the isolé.
isolé should NOT be thought of as a total "soundproofing" product. Soundproofing is the complete containment of sound within a confined area. It is a high-cost process that often requires extensive construction and engineering efforts. What isolé WILL do (if properly installed in the right place) is significantly cut down on sound transmission via absorption and blocking.
If your isolé is correctly installed but there is still significant sound entering or leaving a space, it is very likely that there are other gaps, holes, or weaknesses in the structure where the sound is getting through. Review by Warren L. on 5 Jun 2025review stating Motor Home Installation
I have a Class C motor home and a lot of noise comes into the cab from rear of the motorhome. The manufacturer suggested a curtain to block noise to the cab from the rear. I chose isole' Sound Barrier after some research. I installed them and tested them. What a difference! The sound level was 58 db on the noisey side but only 44 db in the cab sid...Read MoreRead more about I have a Class C motor home and a lot
e, for a sound reduction of 13+ db. Considering this was an ad hoc install, I was very impressed with the curtains. They look great. I am very pleased with my isole' sheets. Read LessRead less about I have a Class C motor home and a lot

Great value for the money! Heavy duty and makes a difference. Don’t expect a miracle, but it is noticeable. Would recommend under the right circumstances!
Review by David E. on 7 Jan 2025review stating These sheets work really well
These sheets work really well for us to mute the sound of the indoor heater/a/c unit which is in a closet with Japanese doors closing it. Using 2 of them we have reduced the loud sound dramatically. Very happy with this product.
Review by Lauren R. on 16 Dec 2024review stating Great product!
I absolutely love my sound barrier sheets. In creating a sound booth for my voiceover business, I needed an option that wasn’t extraordinarily expensive, but would address my need for high-quality sound recording. Thanks for this great product!
Q: Is there a way to rig the curtain so it can roll up automatically like a window blind?

A: Hello Adam, Thank you for reaching out. We have seen where customers have gotten creative when it comes to how they roll up and down the sound sheets however at this time we do not have a tested way. You will want to be careful about keeping the integrity of the inside of the sheet so that the inside sound absorption material does not start to break apart or fall down to the bottom. Please give one of our Acoustic Specialists a call to discuss in more detail: 1.866.505.MUTE

Q: I have a massage/sound therapy studio in a commercial building. It is a drop ceiling. I planned on using acoustic blankets above the ceiling somehow and maybe adding MLV going vertical from the adjacent walls to my neighbors/hallway, from the ceiling into the actual studs up above. I already purchased 4 isole panels but my contractor has never done this and definitely neither have I and ChatGPT can only take you so far. the room is 9x13, 13ft high and the studs up above the ceiling are at least 3 of 4 feet. Besides the air duct? or HVAC pipe and one small wire/tube.. there are wires extending down from the studs into the drop ceiling metal frame throughought the ceiling. And I know this stuff isn't light, i planned on just going into the studs somehow throughout...and only got 4 panels insteadof 6 as the one wall has a window to the outside which is actually pretty quite. HELP anyone in Vegas? Advice PLease contact asap. Should I return? and just hire someone? can this even be done? :/

Q: Since there’s a doorknob poking out, this sound sheet won’t lie flat against the door - how much will that limit the performance of the sound sheet to block sound? Also is the sound sheet something you can walk through when you open the door - or is it recommended to adhere it to the door frame along all of the edges? If you don’t adhere it (and need to walk through it at times) how much will that limit it’s performance? Thanks!

A: Hello Joe, It is ok and known that the Isole will not lie flat over the doorknob and we recommend getting a door seal in addition to the use of the Isole to help keep that sound from not just the Isole Barrier sheet but also from the gaps around the door and at the bottom sweep. By adding the seal, that helps with the door knob issue since the Isole will not be able to lay flat in that area. It won't make a huge difference in terms of the door knob being there or it being a door without a knob but without the added door seal, there is some potential for sound to transfer more through that weaker area than if it was sealed. You can walk through the Isole if you have it hanging off the frame of the door that it can't be installed directly to. Please give us a call if you have any other questions! 1.866.505.MUTE

Q: Is there a way to make these so they hang from the top of a wall with a pitched ceiling?
Verified Buyer
01/27/25
A: Hello Allan, We would love to discuss with you how this would be possible as it would need to be done with a custom made Isole sheet so that there would be grommet holes applied to the bottom of the sheet in addition to the grommet holes that are at the top already. Please give us a call so we can assist further! 1.866.505.MUTE
